Earth Hour.

Hey blog!

Updates on the latest happenings. Was supporting Carmen on the 27th. She was great! :)

It was a concert put together by Ruth Ling, a local artiste. Surprisingly, she is good. She sang a Christian song entitled A Certain Breakthrough and I enjoyed it very much. It was really nice. She played the piano really well too. :)

So, there was an a cappella group. Usually, the sopranos, altos or the lead singer will take the limelight. However, the surprising thing is that, the singer who grabbed my attention was actually the bass. Frankly, I felt that he hit the notes most precisely compared to the others in the group, and his notes were really low. I was amazed. Haha!

After which, we went to Spize for some supper. I was actually not planning to eat supper, was full already. However, Miranda was hungry. So I obliged to share the meal.

Then, we have the 28th! It's the Earth Hour day! Well, yeah. It was supposed to be an hour, however it stretched and it pretty much became and Earth Day kinda thing. Haha! Was at the waterfront with Caroline. Glad we went there! Glad she asked me to ^^

Frankly, I did not know who were the people on the stage at first. They were definitely a band of local artiste. Well, their frontman was really good! Her voice was awesome! And the best was that she had a laughter which calls for world peace! Haha! :D Really powerful bombastic laughter! XD

They sang fun songs like Amy Winehouse's Rehab, I Will Survive and Caroline's BOOM DE YA-DA!!! XD HAHAHAHAH TOTALLY AWESOME! She also sang song requests like Hey Jude, More Than Words and a BIRTHDAY SONG! Hehe!

And so much for switching off electricity eyh. Hehe! It was really awesome though ^^ Had a great time! :)

Love Artistes. Love Polaroids.

Hey blog!

Haha. I don't know this will be the how many thousandth time I'm gonna say this, but I'm still gonna say it anyway, I love artistes! I'm fond of the idea of becoming one and I'm fond of being a fan of one. I just think that it's awesome~! :) Was looking at ShinHwa's pictures moments ago. It triggered my artiste-craze again. Haha!

Oh, and I love Polaroids too. Or Polaroid-likes gadgets. Preferably Polaroids, of course. Lovey!! :)

Oh, and I've gotten my blue card today. It's a joy, yet not at the same time. It's for the greater good, anyway.

So yeah, am really tired and my homework is not done yet. Am gonna sleep now, hoping I'll be able to wake up early tomorrow to do. Wish me the best of luck!

I had a dream,
A dream of hope.
A hope for the future,
A bright one for sure.

I had a dream,
A dream of faith.
Faith in myself,
To infinity and beyond.

Proud of Myself! :D

Dear blog,

Well, first and foremost, I've got to thank Miranda Mazuki. She helped me in cleaning up my house, big time. My house is still not clean, but it is so much neater! I wish I had taken pictures. So that I can show you the before and after effect.

I promised myself that I shall keep it as neat as this as much as possible. I am just afraid of the up-coming arrival of guests.

Anyway, to top this occasion, oh shoosh!, I've decided to clean my fan!!! A round of applause for me, please. It has been there in the house, serving my family faithfully but we've sort of left it forlorn. I bet that this treat has cheered it up! Oh yes, the wind blowing out of it is so much cooler now! Hallelujah! It's really needed in poor Singapore.

Alright! Now, for updates. I visited Sherman just now. Oh, by the way, I've baptised him with a new name and he shall be called Isabella Sherman Swan from today forth. Simply because of the fact that I'm reading the Twilight saga now. Secondly, because I think that name suits him and last but not least, because he is, after all, prone to dangers.

Yep, and I met the other guys thanks to the visit too. Had dinner together with them. Well, actually I ate mine beforehand. Was pretty cool. There were me, Miranda, Sherman, Terrence, Marcus, Kwek and Yao Jue. Sweet and was really sad that I did not have camera with me and that I had to leave early. Yes, I still keep my quota in mind. Keeping in mind that I'm supposed to be a nerd this year, though it doesn't seem to be coming out right so far.

Wish we have more meet-ups. I shall, however, stay at home for the next 4 days or so. Shall make myself proud!

With love,
CCA.

Angelin's Birthday Party

Hey blog!

It's been some time since my last post. I just read Caroline's blog and was brightened up by her post on the 30th. What was it about? Bak Chor Mee :D Haha! Yeah, classic!

Anyway, I've not been on my computer for some time now; let alone coming online, not to mention on MSN. So, the March holiday was not much of a holiday for my physical being. It was quite a rest for my brains, though. I'm glad. However, physically, I am still so tired like nobody's business.

It felt as though I've just skipped through my holidays. I should be strolling past it! Not just hop! I need more rest!! I am not done with the homework given too! I am not able to recall the things that I've learnt fully too. Okay, so maybe school should re-open tomorrow, but we should be given more holidays in between!

So I'm doing still currently doing my homework now. I am really tempted to just close the books, pack my bag and go to sleep. Of course, I tried my best not to. Oh, by the way, I'm done with New Moon about 3 days ago and now I'm about athird into Eclipse. :) Awesome eyh!

So, the highlight of the past few days! It's none other than Angelin's Birthday Party!! Woo hoo!! It was great! ^^ I love the part where the top 3 best-dressed males had to sing! :D HEHE! Oh, I wore the most informal outfit too. Gaah, I thought it would be fine with my white top. Hey, it's pretty different for me to be wearing a dress already! (Although I wore jeans in the end)

Alright, blog, I shall go off now! :) Good nights!!

P.S. I got over the "Cindy" problem already! :) YEY!

New Pair of Jeans!

Hey blog!

I've got GREAT news to tell! And a bad one too, actually. Went to the ICA building today. It was horrendous. My sister and I did not have cash on us. I know, it was pretty stupid how the two of us were cashless together.

So, I had to walk thousands of miles to get to the ATM machine in order to withdraw. No, I was not stupid. I knew about the machines at the MRT station and the one near the HDB flats. Guess what? They all broke down! I'm sorry to say this, but I really am pissed at the officers. They were totally ineffecient. What's the whole point of putting two ATM machines near each other? Of course to make life more efficient for the residents of Singapore! In order to cut down the long queue and in case of break-downs on either one of them. It totally defeats the whole purpose this time.

Anyway, I had my exercise of walking from Lavender all the way to Beach road, at Bugis. Pretty good exercise. After all, my plans for exercise this morning was foiled.

Now, to the good news! I had a new pair of jeans! :D Yeps, went shopping today with my sister!! How long has it been since the last time I went shopping? Gosh, I have no idea! Oh! And how long has it been since the last time I saw a good pair of jeans? FOR EVER. Yeah, it was the best but it was good enough, at least. :)

I feel so happy now ^^ Although tired at the same time. Alrights, that's it for now. Gotta sleep!! Nights!

Love,
Clarissa.

Turned-Off

Hey blog,

Just a head-up: I've always had a bad vibe about under-age parties and was invited into joining it a couple of times. Of course, I rejected them. Well, was invited again and I thought, hey, why not? Then I thought about it again and I really did not want to go, but well, since I already made a promise and since the odds of enjoying seemed to be higher than the norm, I still went anyway.

Pretty was there too and he encouraged, if that's even the right word, to go. Frankly, I was pretty tempted to go with all the invitations and by Alfreda. So yeah, I was not reluctant to go, don't worry.

However, when I reached the Grand Copthorne Hotel, it suddenly struck me real hard - the fact that the under-age kids will be there, the large number of people that will be crowding the place and the annoyance of it all. What really made it bad was when Alfreda finally told me that there would be about 3,300 bloody people queueing up. Do you have any idea how small Zouk is?! Yes, blog, I was turned-off.

Well, the rest of the story is history. They need not be transcripted, or authored, here. Glad I was able to meet Pretty. Learnt a lesson. It was a fine night, or well past mid-night. :)

Please Forgive My Take-Offs.

Hey blog!

I do realise that I've been really tired these days. At times, I'll be pretty absent-minded too and my schedules are usually tight. Well, maybe it's quite loose on other days. On those days, I'll be resting my butt out.

So, I hope that everyone around me will forgive my take-offs to another land, having to call me back to earth.

Thank god! It's the start of school holidays. It's not really a holiday, though, since I'd still have to go to school on weekdays for practices. Hopefully it won't be too tough on me.

Oh! HAPPY BIRTHDAY to FINNA APPA! :D It was her birthday yesterday! Celebrated with her! :) First time I got rejected too. Damn!

Hehe! Oh yeah, and that quenched my temptation to go. :) Will see how it goes and I'll go with the flow. Hope the competition will be great~! :)

Clarissa.

Future Talk

Dear blog,

I just had another future talk with my mum and sister. Remember how we talked about me getting into college and maybe getting into UCLA if I'm smart enough? Well, yeah. We talked about schools then, but we did not talk about faculties. We thought of me joining in hospitality, which is of course almost impossible.

Well, in today's talk, my mum actually mentioned architecture. This idea has actually been playing in my mind, a toy. Never did I think of it as a possible future endeavour. However, my mum said that it would suit her liking just fine and the prospect of it is good too.

One thing, though, is quite a hindrance to me - my math. My math is not good, and it is definitely needed if you want to be an architect. It will also be a very rough route. Fine, which route is not tough, to begin with, but I am sure that this is gonna be really tough.

Speaking of my math, let's come to talk about my results. It is horrible. I barely passed my English and Humanities. Probably flunk my sciences, POA and A-math. I did pass my Chinese, which is good, but not satiable. My e-math was the best so far.

I hope everything is going to be alright and I shall try to work-out more often from today forth. Oh, did I mention to you before that I've been having my sit-ups and push-ups routine again? Yep! I proudly did! It's been going on for about 2 weeks now. Oh, and I also some weight, even without me realising it, unintentionally. :)

That's it for now then! Hope the future is not bleak!

Happy Birthday Peng! :)

Dear blog,

It was Peng's birthday and we celebrated it with him on Friday. Bought him some truffles (I think they're ze best!!!) and a foil balloon with the Disney Princesses imprinted on it, saying "Happy Birthday Princess!" XD Haha! Super cute! :)

I got home pretty late and my dad just arrived from Indonesia. I was pretty sure that I was in hot soup. However, thankfully, the situation was under control when I got home. Then, another problem arose. I was supposed to meet Chenliana for lunch together at Hilton. My sister reassured me that everything should be fine.

True enough, I was allowed to go after accompanying them to the doctor. Had a couple of pictures. Shall post them some day, or maybe not, but they're uploaded on Facebook anyways.

Angeline and I went over to Chenliana's and we looked at the pictures she had. Some were really cute, and oh, I saw their partners. Seriously, I get really happy whenever I see a happy couple and frustrated whenever I see troubled couples. Yep, the two of them are sure troubled and I was pestering them to just get it done and over with - grab the guys! XD

Then, I was about to go home when Chenli said that she was going to cook dinner for us. She cooked well. Dinner was good, so was lunch. Thus, Cindy Clarissa Adriaan is gaining weight again. This time, by megagrams.

With that aside, we have the Sports Fest coming up next Sunday. Kiat Guan had confirmed my team mates - Alfreda, Daron, Justine, Terrence and me. Obviously, I am the only extra in the team. How aweful! I guess I'll just go there, root my feet into the ground and be a mascot for the whole team. This is going to be embarrassing.

Next, I am still in a delimma about whether or not I should go for ROMP IV. It is definitely very tempting and being the good girl that I've become, weighing the pros and cons has become an essential.

Thus, this is what I have figured out.
Cons:
  • I will be too tired from the competition (even if I'm just going to be a mascot).
  • I will have a hard time getting ready since I'll be tired, plus, my parents are here.
  • I have school the next morning, thus, I'll have to leave early.
Pros:
  • I'll have fun.
  • I'll gain a night out.
  • I'll get to see Pretty in a club, finally! :D Haha!
  • I'll content my temptation.
Alright, I don't know how obvious it may be, but I feel that it is obvious enough that I should not be going. However, things may still take a different turn. Till then, I shall not hope high.

Putting that aside too, I've just received Angeline's All White Party invitation today. The date will be the 20th, pretty near. I wonder what I should wear. I wonder what is going to happen and I wonder how everything will go. Smoothly, I hope . :)

With this invitation, Angeline also revealed to me that she has a friend who has the same name as me. Turns out that she does not have the best of personalities, and probably one of the worst ever. It was a total turn-off. I need to get myself away from my own name for a moment now, and shake the idea of people shunning at the call of "Cindy"off my mind as soon as possible! All thanks to her. Hey, I am not trying to judge, it's just that the stories that I've heard are horrendous.

So, do me a favour and address me by my middle name, as some of my friends may already done since ages ago. :)

Till next time,
Clarissa.

Weird Nightmare

Dear blog,

I had a really bad nightmare last night. It was weird too, like as though I was being warned about something, but I could not figure out what it was supposed to mean.

So I was walking down the flight of stairs in front of the club house, under the shelter, as for normal. The people who I saw next were really random. They were David Archuleta and David Cook! Oh, there was their manager too. Somehow, my principal was there too.

Anyway, I was so shocked when I saw David Archuleta but my principal told me to make sure that I was wide awake and not sleepy anymore, and told me to re-confirm with him that I was by calling him, before he left the scene.

Having both Davids there obviously made me excited and I called him immediately to report to him that I was really wide awake. Then, for some reason, I started walking back up the stairs again when I saw Archuleta there. "Which way are you going?" he asked me and I pointed up the stairs. He gave a look and thought aloud that he was going the opposite direction, like he was somehow repelled to go his intial route because he was afraid a fan of his was stalking him. I shrugged it off, anyway.

Then, I could hear the sound of heels walking my direction but I saw nobody. I just continued walking, feeling that a pair of heels just passed by me but there really was no one! When I've reached the top of the flight, a friend of mine frantically told me "Cin, be careful if a pair of heels is walking your way!" I was shocked. "Make sure you get out of its way!" she continued.

Of course I asked her what was wrong and what if I did not give way to it, she explained that I would commit suicide or something like that and it was really freaky! I shuddered just at the thought of it and I was so afraid.

However, the next thing I knew was that I was on a bus and I was at some shopping centre and my watch showed that it was only about 5 plus in the morning. I was still in my school uniform, obviously I must have woken up too early and decided to get myself a nice breakfast. Oh, I was queueing up in front of McDonald's, by the way. Then, I saw the trio again. I was pleasanlty surprised at the meeting, but something was just not right.

In that dream, it felt like I was a Cook fan, but somehow I was talking to Archuleta more often, and it felt like as though Cook knew that I liked him and that he was somehow disappointed that I was not really paying attention to him. When I did, although it may not seem like so since I was talking to Archuleta more.

Anyway, the next thing I knew, I had parted from the trio and I did not make it to the front of the line. I did not have McD. Instead, I was in another queue. It was a shop nearby the McD and it serves bread and coffee, much like Toast Box.

Just as I was waiting, a friend of mine tried to frighten me by jumping on my back. Then, we engaged in a small conversation and I woke up.

It was all really really extremely weird! I mean, I was never such a fan of the Davids, and I seldom ever eat at Toast Box. What's more, why would the Davids and my principal be in my house estate?! To top it all, it happened on a school day, in Singapore, with some new ghostly phenomena! This is getting more and more ridiculous and the sleep that I got was hardly even sufficient thanks to the tension that I experienced as I was sleeping. Sighs. Hope I'll understand it soon.

Prankster Before Sound Check.

Dear blog,

We just had our sound-check today. I thought I was supposed to serve my detention today and was frantically looking for Mr Sim since yesterday. When I finally found him in the afternoon, he told me that I supposed to serve it tomorrow. Oh well, perfect! Hahs!

Then, I walked up to the fourth floor and put my bad down on the table outside the band room. I wanted to buy myself a nice bottle of cold water and planned to come back up in a split second.

I fulfilled my task and went back up in matter of minutes. Guess what? My bag was missing. I suspected that my band mate had helped me and brought into the band room. I was wrong. I asked around and no-one had seen it. Panic struck me. Just
who in the right state of mind would want to steal another person's school bag? And my bag was friggin heavy, FYI.

Well, yeah, as a reflect, I quickly ran down again to the General Office and inquired if they had received any lost bag or any reports about it at all. As expected, there was none. The next move was to search for my friends in the canteen. Whomever there may be. True enough, none of them had seen it. Of course it wasn't stolen! It must have been thrown into a bin or moved by a prankster of some sort.

Obviously, a freaking prankster who has no freaking brains and has no freaking other better freaking things to do! But to take a stranger's bag and place it elsewhere just to have the owner search frantically for it. Thanks a lot, SOB!

Oh, but I have to be mannerly, though, and thank that specific SOB for being nice. He had placed my bag in a corner of the third storey. At least, it was not in a bin or elsewhere or I swear my nerve veins would have burst one after another!

Anyway, it had all been resolved, I shall not remember this incident with hatred and let it slip by. All was good thereafter. We went for our sound check and went back to school. Well, the bus was not exactly on time as the bus driver had made a wrong turn, thinking we were going to Fairfield Methodist. The bus driver must have been a Fairfield Methodist's driver, I presume. Was that close to going to Princess' school. Hee!

Well, yeah. It has been a really long and tiring day. I just got back home not too long ago. Hope everything will be fine :) Oh, my hair rocks today! Taking into account the facts that I pinned it up without mirror and the fact that I had been running like a mad woman and that the day had been tiring. :)

Good night! :)

Chenliana's Sweet 17th!

Hey blog!

I've just gotten back home from Chenliana's Sweet 17th birthday party! It was nice! :) Cept for the part where I hardly know a single soul there. X.X

Yulia was in a dress!! :D :D Yes, I know! She looked soo feminine!! Heeee! We're definitely in the same BOAT! I wore a shirt and black jeans, with black high heels. Pretty much semi-formal. Was afraid that everyone would turn up in formal and be the only one alienated there. Turn out that it was pretty much semi-formal ^^ Phew! Anyways, this was how I looked like! I just changed back to my home clothes XP

Hey! It's already feminine!! -____- Chenli's brother and uncle was asking me "is this s guy or girl?" I thought I was pretty feminine already!!! >_<

Anyway, we played games some time in between the event. Can't believe we had to dance, scream, and walk in circles. Haha! Fun much! :) It's been quite long since the last time I did such things.

Hope Chenliana had fun too! :) She look delicious tonight! Heee!

Oh yes, my parents will be flying to Singapore tomorrow. I don't think I can meet up with Alfreda anymore. Shucks! They always come at timings of their own, without any warnings or prior notices.

Oh! And I also feel that I should say this: I have decided to stay in Band 1 for English! :D Hehe. ALL THE BEST TO ME! WOOTZ!

P.S. I found a fun game on MTV's website It's called Mirror Image! :D
Love,
CCA
