Silver Tastes Just As Good

Dear blog,

We had our SYF today, as you should have known. I am happy to tell you that we attained a silver!!! Yes, it is not a gold but silver is just as good! It is our expectation and we've hit it! Everyone did a great job! :)

Frankly speaking, I was getting pretty skeptical at the end of our performance. I went kinda moody and mute. Sure, as per normal, there were people crying and others talking to each other, comforting each other. I just went mute. Almost like the last SYF that I had, except I felt worse this time around. I was almost sure that we would get bronze, I had no idea why. It was a vibes kinda thing, ya know.

Sir said we did well, though. So did the alumni. However, I thought, they might have wanted to comfort us, that's all. As you should have known too, this is my last year in participating in the SYF. I was really hoping that I could go back to the Singapore Conference Hall (SCH) and to hear the results live.

Thankfully, we were allowed to and we went there :) As a band! Guess what? The most annoying thing ever, was the fact that we actually got to SCH on time, but Aishah, Eunice, Ting Shiuan, Candice and I were so busy trying to smuggle their food in, that we actually missed the whole announcement!

Yes, I actually went it, still looking for a seat, waiting there as though the results were about to be announced. Some of the band members who were there first were already smiling and Dhurkesh actually slapped Hi-five with me. Still, I did not figure out what had happened.

About minutes later, when I settled myself in my seat, Dhurkesh turned his head towards me and asked me where I was heading to. Obviously caught off-guard, I asked him why the hell I would head elsewhere when I was waiting for the results. It was then that he revealed of our silver achievement!

I was so shocked! So happy, so ecstatic, yet disappointed! I could not believe that we've gotten silver! And, I could not believe that I had missed the announcement! I felt like a total idiot, yet I was over-joyed! Trust me, you do not know how silly it felt! XD

And then we went to the balcony again. This time around, there were tears, joy, and laughter. All for the right reasons. :) Glad we made it! We made it.

Took lots of pictures too! I wanted to take a picture with sir at the end of the whole thing, but Aishah was so eager to leave. So yeah, I tagged along with her. The rest of the band were still there. As you should have known me by now, I like to stay behind. (I know I'm weird) And it was pretty sad to leave them behind. They might have a celebration for all I know. =/

Oh wells, most importantly, I am now able to say with relief, a big heave of sigh and mere satisfaction, "We made it."

With love,
CCA :)
